After trying out the rest of the games on my Xbox Games Pass, nothing stands put and it seems like I’ve played them all before. Kona was good but the camera angles is making me dizzy. Recore looks polished but it was not compelling enough for me. I then tried this other title that I know I’ve seen for some time but didn’t get a chance to check out.

After loading What Remains of Edith Finch, I found its presentation rather unique. Seems like any other first person adventure game. At first.

But once I entered the house. There was this creepy and unsettling feeling. The ambient music, Edith’s voice and the empty house all combined to give that feeling of dread. It is quite effective. Haven’t felt like this since playing FromSoftware’s first Echo Night on the original PlayStation.

But since it’s already past 1am and there’s work (from home) tomorrow I’ll stop for now. I’m not scared. Just have to wake up early.
